1983 Harley Davidson FXDG Disc Glide

1983 FXDG Disc Glide, or “Willie G” or “Willie Glide”, as it was more popularly known.

Total production of the FXDG model was 810 bikes.

H-D referred to this model as their “Ultimate Wide Glide”.

The bikes sheet metal was painted dark ox blood, along with the dash and outer primary cover. With the frame being black powder coated.

The Shovelhead engine, transmission, and the inner primary are done in both

Black wrinkle, and gloss black, as well as most of the rest of the parts on the bike that would be traditionally chrome.

The rear wheel is a 2 piece spun aluminum 16” disc wheel. Along with the wheel, the back of the Disc Glide got an 11” rotor, and the front end sports two 10” rotors.

The front end on the FXDG is 3 ½” longer than stock, vs. the standard factory Wide Glide extension of 2” over.

The FXDG was one of Harley’s best early factory custom efforts ever to roll out of the factory.

The bike is sporting a lot of chrome parts with an S&S carburetor and air filter and Python pipes.

I’m the second owner of the bike and repainted the original parts and put them away in storage tubs.

The bike is showing 9,338 miles

I have a lot of extra parts for this bike that are also negotiable.
