I bought this bike new when I was living north of San Francisco. I had a great time riding around the wine country on weekends. But then I was relocated to southern California in an area where it was either really hot or really windy. Since I'm a wimp weekend rider (and female), that pretty well doomed my riding days. I'm finally putting it up for sale because I want to use the money for a new business and because I've been feeling guilty having such a great bike sitting in my garage for so long. Oh, and did I mention that my mother jumped up and down in excitement when I told her I had decided to sell?

Okay, now for the serious stuff. The bike is in excellent shape and nearly stock. I had new handlebars installed so I could actually reach them and the rear shocks lowered so I could touch the ground (okay, so I'm female AND not tall!). The license plate holder is now slanted but that was just because it looked nicer.

I've never had an accident, but did have an embarrassing "fall over" and scratched the very top of the back of the left mirror. I've included a photo but had trouble making the scratches visible. Since it's been sitting, it needs a new battery and the HD dealership tells me the carburetor and fuel lines should be cleaned out. The tires are original but I'm told unless they have cracks (which I don't see) they should be good.

I still have the stock handlebars and you can have them if you want them. I'm also including a helmet and the 1996 XLH Service Manual.
