You are looking at a pretty rare Harley Davidson Model. This is a 2004 FXDP DYNA "Defender". It was only made for 4 years, (2001-2004), and it was only available for sale to Police Officers or Shriners. Most chose the larger FLHTP Electra Glide or FLHP Road King Models. Evidently sales were not enough to justify continued production and the model was discontinued with 2004 being the last production year. I bought this bike from a Shriner and it never saw Police service. More importantly for the collector is the fact that it was never customized or modified in any way as most Civilian owned FXDP's were, and it has never had any of the Police equipment installed on it. The bike is Birch White with a Blacked out Engine just like a "Night Train", and is Bone Stock just as it came from the factory except for the small sissy bar which the previous owner installed, and the sissy bar pad which I installed for the comfort of my better half. These can be removed in about 5 min. The bike came stock from the factory with an upgraded 45 amp charging system to handle the increased electrical demands of Police service. It has the 1450cc Twin Cam engine and a very comfortable factory seat, (I put 850 miles on it one day). it also has factory floor boards for added comfort. The only known defect is a broken Pursuit switch on the right handlebar that needs to be repaired in order to operate the passing lamps, (I have all the parts needed for the repair). So if you're looking for someting out of the ordinary....something that you're not going to see everyday....and something that will stand out from the crowd without breaking the bank account, then this is the bike you're looking for!
