HISTORY

This was a well kept, one owner Florida bike at the time I purchased it. Documented mileage at the time was 5500 miles. Speedo quit at about 7600 miles (a common problem with these speedos). Mileage is now appx. 8500.

Within the last year, I had a local, highly respected V-TWIN shop open the motor to inspect internals and address any issues. Rings were slightly worn so S&S made a new set for the bike. Cylinders, pistons and top end were all in great shape. Had the cylinders honed with a fresh cross hatch while awaiting the rings. Motor is now perfect.

The original tranny was having some shifting issues and I had that inspected as well. In their heyday, AIH had four different entities making transmissions for their bikes. Some were better than others. Decided to replace it - bike now has a brand new tranny just installed in January 2019. Now shifts beautifully!

All work can be verified and local shop can vouch for how solid this bike now is.

DON’T BUY ONE OF THESE CLASSIC CHOPPERS IN A ‘UNKNOWN’ CONDITION THAT COULD COST YOU THOUSANDS!!

Cosmetics:

The rear wheel has some peeling of the top chrome layer in about a 10” area...still very shiny! A couple of minor knicks in the chrome on the front wheel. Mileage was documented at 5500 at time of purchase. Speedo quit a couple thousand miles later, par for the course with these AIH speedometers. Mileage is appx. 8500 now.
