The Sportster has been the most recognized small Harley even though it really is a rather heavy bike for what is considered “Entry Level”. Not surprising some Harley riders with bigger bikes add a Sportster to their own garage for the quick run-around trip without bringing out the “big gun”. It is heavy enough to ride solid yet agile enough to just fling it around. Loved by shorter and female riders for its easy handling and loved by big guys for the power/weight ratio.

The Sportster is offered in two power units. The traditional 883 engine and the 1200 engine. Both are equally interesting bikes with tons of options by aftermarket manufacturers to customize this bike from head to toe for small money.

This 1200 Custom is originally from New York State and has very little defects. A nice clean bike finished in vivid black with low miles and just nothing really to say other than a perfect ride, ready for your adventure. The 1200 engine runs nice and smooth. 2007 marked the first year Harley Davidson did not offer carbureted versions of their engines any longer. While you could find fuel injected Sportsters earlier from 2007 on they were all fuel injected. Equipped with the rubber mounted engine frame the 2004 Sportsters are less shaky though by some die-hards not considered as desirable. I prefer the little comfort upgrade the new frames in 2004 brought to the Sportsters. Comes with a Vance and Hines short shot exhaust.
