The Sportster has been the most recognized small Harley even though it really is a rather heavy bike for what is considered “Entry Level”. Not surprising some Harley riders with bigger bikes add a Sportster to their own garage for the quick run-around trip without bringing out the “big gun”. It is heavy enough to ride solid yet agile enough to just fling it around. Loved by shorter and female riders for its easy handling and loved by big guys for the power/weight ratio.

The Sportster is offered in two power units. The traditional 883 engine and the 1200 engine. Both are equally interesting bikes with tons of options by aftermarket manufacturers to customize this bike from head to toe for small money.

The “Seventy Two” Model is a 1200cc engine variation with chrome and the old 70s chopper look. This bike has had what looks like a wrap on all three tins. The wrap is skulls in the inferno. An interesting look but of course does not hold as good as airbrush paint. So the bike could use a full repaint to be brilliant again.

Runs excellent and nothing to do. Front tire has a few more miles left and the rear is in good condition. The gas indicator light is stuck sometimes and other times free. An amazing deal on this 1200cc classic Sportster.
