The bike was previously used by a Harley Dealership as a school bike and therefore has a few scratches here and there, as pointed out in the walk-around-video on our website. The bike is equipped with a REV limiter on 2nd and 3rd gear. Part of the school conversion. No, we do not know how to take that off. But if you are buying a 500 you most likely are starting our and would want that feature in the first place. As you can clearly tell the end-pipe is on the outer layer rusted through and could use a new slip on but it is perfectly functioning and as such does not need to be replaced unless you want it to look nice. Some other small items like mirrors could use updating and the rear fender crash bars could be removed for a cleaner look but they are effective.

The gauges are all working but the odometer shows an error code “V INERR”. We did not look into what the problem here is. The tire wear and age suggests this is a low mileage bike with under 5K miles but the title will be marked as “Not Actual Miles”. Yes, this is the reason you are getting a $4,000+ bike for a fraction of that. We have 3 other “XG500” that we took in inventory and this one is a wholesale deal to someone interested in a great deal.

The “Street” series was created to offer a simple and inexpensive option to get started in the Harley family. The Sportster series offers already a full-size bike not necessarily suitable for the first time riders. The Street series combines a sportier ride with the classical Harley attitude. Available in two engine options of 500cc and 750cc Street produces enough power to run with the big boys yet is lighter and nimble around the city streets making it a sportier ride.
