1982 Harley Davidson Shovelhead FXB Sturgis Anniversary Model Survivor One Owner Very Low Miles!I honestly don't want to sell this beauty, but I can't keep everything.This is a non-AMF Harley Davidson & a very seldom found Sturgis with Anniversary Gold accents & factory Gold wheels. The Sturgis was first introduced in 1981 as an all black bike with orange accents. In 1982 Harley continued with the model after the management bought out AMF & began production and a new era. The commemorative badge on the front fender celebrates the takeover of AMF by Harley. These bikes had what was then considered a radical approach to the primary & final drive system utilising an new dual belt system as opposed to the traditional chain system. The 1982 models are very rare & seldom found worldwide. Being one of very few produced and even fewer remaining make this a great investment and a fun ride. This is a clean survivor with only 13k original miles. The original 1340CC engine is in excellent running condition & has had a recent tune up & carburettor clean. It has had a new battery fitted & starts up easily & idles nicely. The paintwork still presents nicely. Tanks are very nice with some scratches on the fenders but it gives the bike some character. We can paint it if you like, but i wouldn't touch it. It starts up easy and idles nicely. Clean title in hand. Clean Carfax. One Owner.Note: Bike has an S&S Carburetor but stock can easily be sourced. Couple exhaust choices included. Has a Mustang seat. I do not have the original seat, exhaust, or ham can air cleaner. If these items are important to you, finding them on eBay or swap meets will be fun.It's priced very fairly. The most recent sale at Mecum was for a non anniversary model with nearly double the miles.
